Megan DeLeon Miller, BCBA

Megan DeLeon Miller, M.S, BCBA started Navigation Behavioral

Consulting in the fall of 2009, with the intent of providing the latest behavior analysis services to families primarily in the Virginia Beach area. One of Megan's primary goals is to broaden the reach of quality, effective behavior analysis services. Because of this, she is willing to travel to other states/countries. 


Megan received her early training at the Cleveland Clinic Center for Autism as a volunteer/intern in 2003. 


Upon graduating Summa Cum Laude with her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from John Carroll University, Megan worked in Ohio providing one-on-one therapy using the principles of behavior analysis.

Megan completed her Master's Degree in Psychology with a Specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis at Florida State University (FSU).  FSU is an Applied Behavior Analysis Accredited University. While completing her degree, she was a case manager for the FSU Early Childhood Autism Program.

In 2007, Megan took over as the Clinical Coordinator of the FSU Early Childhood Autism Program where she supervised students working with autistic children in the home, provided parent training, developed treatment plans, assessed children, attended IEP meetings, organized fundraisers, and collaborated with other professionals in the community.

Laura Stacey McKane, BCBA

Laura became interested in the science of applied behavior analysis and working with children with autism  

during her undergraduate career at Mary Washington College where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with  

her Bachelor’s degree in psychology in 2003. During this time, Laura interned with a local autism center and  

provided one‐on‐one ABA therapy to children in the home and community setting. This positive experience  

influenced Laura to pursue a career with children with special needs and to obtain her board certification in  

behavior analysis.   


Laura received her Master’s Degree and teacher licensure in Early Childhood Special Education and board  

certification from Vanderbilt University. Upon graduating Summa Cum Laude in October of 2007, Laura  

moved to the Hampton Roads area and began working at a non‐profit center for children with autism and  

privately as an independent contractor. Laura has provided ABA therapy and consultation services to  

numerous families, schools, and service providers in the community. Her goal is to address the needs of the  

learner across all environments and encourage collaboration across the home, school, and community levels  

to ensure the success of the child and to facilitate socially significant behavior change.  

In January of 2011, Laura partnered with Megan Miller and Navigation Behavior Consulting to form  

Navigation Behavior Consulting, LLC.

Meredith Martin, BCBA

While completing her Master’s degree at Florida State University, Meredith worked as a therapist and case manager for FSU ECAP and as a preschool teacher for an autism cluster class. 


In September 2009, Meredith became a BCBA. She has experience in developing and implementing IEPs, treatment plans, behavior reduction programs, and positive behavior intervention plans. 


Meredith has also taught grades K-1 in an Autism Cluster class and provided services in a clinic setting.

Ashley Bango, BCBA

Ashley began her experience with ABA in 2003 working with two families in Fayetteville, NC while obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Fayetteville State University.  She worked as a therapist in the home and supported as an aide in the classroom.  

Upon graduating, she pursued her Master’s Degree at Florida State University.  While completing her degree, she was case manager for the FSU Early Childhood Autism Program, consulted in the schools, and worked in a childhood obesity program.  

Since graduating, she has worked in adult services and a private day school focusing on children with autism and severe problem behavior.  Having 8 years of extensive experience, Ashley is available to provide services in the Northern Virginia region including:  Leesburg, Ashburn, Haymarket, Manassas, etc.

Katie Fitterer, BCABA

Katie Fitterer began volunteering with children with autism through The Son-Rise Program while attending the College of William and Mary.  In the fall of 2005, she completed her practicum experience as a teacher’s aide, before graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Anthropology.


 In January of 2007, Katie joined the Mariposa School for Children with Autism in Cary, North Carolina.  She taught her students functional communication skills using the principles of ABA and Verbal Behavior.  After completing her coursework for behavior analysis through the University of North Texas, Katie became board certified in August 2009.  


As a Program Coordinator at Mariposa, Katie over saw programs focusing on language acquisition, developed Behavior Intervention Plans, and conducted ongoing training for the school’s staff and parents. 


In September of 2010, Katie relocated to Virginia and is pleased to have the opportunity to bring her experience in the field of ABA to NBC, LLC. Katie is available to provide services in the Hampton Roads area, Williamsburg, and Richmond.

Allison Harris, M.S.

Allison Harris received her Bachelor of Science in Education in 1999 from the State

University of New York at Geneseo, and holds dual certifications in Special Education and Elementary Education. 

She pursued her studies at the Rochester Institute of Technology, and graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Master's degree in Deaf Education in 2002. After graduating, she was employed as a teacher of the deaf for students with multiple disabilities at the Rochester School for the Deaf. 

Fluent in American Sign Language,  Allison assumed a similar position in the Guam Public School System in 2005.   The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) School System took interest in Allison and employed her as both a general education teacher and a special education teacher until 2009. Allison implemented numerous staff and parent trainings in the public school system as well as DoDEA. She also was employed as an adjunct teacher for the University of Guam and the Guam Community College. 

Allison is excited to be working with NBC, LLC and recently completed her coursework to become a BCBA.

 Allison provides services in the Hampton Roads area and is available to provide workshops related to sign language and/or ABA.

Lynette Jacobs, M.S.

Lynette is a Colorado native who moved to Virginia in 2009 with her family as her husband transferred to Langley Air Force Base. 


She attended and received both her Masters in Special Education and a second Masters in Curriculum & Instruction (general education) from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. She has experience in teaching all grade levels- ages 3 yrs up to 22 yrs in both general education and special education in Colorado and here in Virginia. She has also been involved in several reading programs while in Colorado and specializes in teaching reading through multi-sensory approaches. 


Lynette is dedicated to providing in-home ABA services in an effort to establish that every individual is receiving the support needed, both at home and within the school setting. She strongly believes that with ABA and working as a team, progress will happen and lives will change.
