|Claire Ellis M.S., BCBA, LBA
|Area Clinical Director
Claire has been involved in the field of Behavior Analysis for the past nine years. She started her career in Columbus, Ohio as an in-home therapist. She was quickly hooked, and she integrated ABA into her undergraduate curriculum at Ohio State University. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, she co-ran a social skills camp for children with autism and worked as a therapist until she was presented with the opportunity to further her education at Florida State. While studying at Florida State, Claire continued to gain experience as an in-home therapist working with a variety of populations, by implementing ABA in both general education and special education classrooms and by conducting staff training.
Following receiving her Masters degree and becoming certified, Claire gained a position at a Verbal Behavior center in South Florida. She continued to provide therapy, parent training and supervise programming for children with autism while simultaneously teaching Behavior Analysis Board Approved undergraduate courses at Florida International University.
Her passion for working with children and her dedication to the science of behavior is pervasive, whether she's presenting at local and national conferences or graphing her dog's behavior-her focus is Behavior Analysis. She is ecstatic to be part of NBC's top-notch group of providers and thoroughly enjoys her job.
In her free time she enjoys triathlons, exploring the area and spending time with her dog, friends and family.
